Abby Foster / Director
Abby Foster has over thirty years of extensive dance training, beginning under the direction of Karyl Morrison. Abby has taught since the age of fourteen, studied and competed both regionally and nationally with various touring workshops and conventions, toured nationally under the direction of Art and Nancy Stone and Jackie Del Prete, and has directed various programs at the secondary and collegiate levels. Abby has studied at Hubbard Street's Lou Conte Studio, Ruth Page Dance Center, and Joel Hall in Chicago, as well as at The Edge Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles. She has also adjudicated various competitions. Abby has a BA in Dance from Kansas State University, an MA in Secondary Education, and has taught all ages and all styles at various venues including the following: the Great Bend Recreation Commission and Designs In Dance of Great Bend, Kansas; Manhattan Parks and Recreation of Manhattan, Kansas; The Dance Academy of Chicago, Illinois; Storm Dance Alliance of Oswego, Illinois; and LE Dance of Overland Park, Kansas. Abby founded the Robert Morris University Competitive Dance Team in the summer of 2004, which eventually developed into a Varsity Dance Team, JV Dance Team, and a cheer squad. She was the Director of Dance and Orchesis Company Director at Resurrection College Preparatory High School for five years where she led a successful dance curriculum while also coaching the JV and Varsity Orchesis Dance Companies. She also is the former coach of the Lansing High School Lionettes and dance instructor at Heritage Christian Academy. Her students have gone on to dance at the University of Illinois-Champaign, University of Illinois-Chicago, Marquette University, Northern Illinois University, Dayton University, Southern Illinois University, DePaul University, Kent State University, Dominican University, Adrenaline Rush Dance Team, Boom Crack, NFL's Minnesota Vikings Cheer, and the NBA's Chicago Luvabulls. Abby is ecstatic to continue teaching dance and sharing her passion, God-given talent, and love for dancing with her students.
Maggie
(Contemporary, Jazz, & Leaps & Turns)
Maggie was born and raised in Kansas where she trained in Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Hip Hop, Acrobatics, Musical Theater, Contemporary, Lyrical for fourteen years. She graduated from Kansas State University with a Business degree where she was on the K-State Classy Cats dance team for 4 years. During that time she attended Pro Action Dance, was chosen as a captain, performed at Bowl Games, March Madness, Big 12 Tournament games, and choreographed many routines while on the team.
Maggie has judged Kansas-area dance auditions for studio and collegiate teams. She just retired from her third year as a NFL Cheerleader for the Kansas City Chiefs. Her favorite styles to choreograph include Jazz, Contemporary, and Musical Theater but she herself enjoys Gameday style dance, Hip Hop, and Contemporary. She uses all aspects of her past training to influence her movement, teaching style, and choreography. Her favorite moments are getting to know the dancers she works with on a personal level and seeing them grow in confidence within their dancing and using it to truly become who they want to be.
Outside of dancing, Maggie works full time in the financial industry. She enjoys time outdoors/ especially in the mountains and values time with her husband and both of their families. She loves getting to spend even a small amount of time with young dancers, and loves to see them grow as individuals and improve their skills.
Hannah
(Jazz, Conditioning, & Leaps & Turns)
Hannah Spencer is from Overland Park, Kansas, and recently graduated from the University of Kansas. She earned her bachelor’s degree in elementary education with a minor in dance. While at her time at KU, she had the opportunity to be involved in the University Dance Company. Hannah was also a competitive dancer for 13 years and participated in her school dance team. Hannah has taught at various studios around the Kansas area since she was in high school. She enjoys teaching students how to dance and seeing the smiles on their faces. Hannah loves all styles of dance, but if she had to pick her top three, it would be musical theater, tap, and jazz! She has attended the Rockettes summer intensive, Joffrey school of Ballet musical theater intensive in New York, and more! She is very excited to share her love of dance with others!
Chloe
(Tumbling)
Chloe recently graduated from the University of Kansas and is excited to continue her passion for dance! Originally from Olathe, she trained at Crescendo Conservatory and the American Dance Center for several years where she developed her skills in ballet, pointe, jazz, tumbling, musical theatre, tap, and more! With over 10 years of dance and choreography experience, Chloe trained with former professionals in various styles and has participated in summer intensives with organizations like The American Ballet Theatre and The Rock School of Dance. Additionally, Chloe served as the spirit captain of her varsity dance team where she led her peers in competitions, football and basketball games, and at various community events. Chloe also has a long performance background, including her personal favorite, The Nutcracker Tea Party! Chloe is thrilled to join the teaching team at Foster Dance Center for her first year and is excited to inspire the next generation of dancers!
Bridget
(Cheer, Tumbling, Musical Theatre, & Combo)
Bridget started dancing at the age of 3 and graduated from Liz Kelley Dance Studio 1 in 2013. While in high school, she was also a 3 year varsity member of the Blue Valley North Stars Dance Team. Since graduating from Kansas State University in 2017, she coached the Spring Hill High School Dazzler Dance Team for 5 years and has been teaching at studios since 2019. Her favorite dance styles are jazz, pom, and hip hop. She loves getting to grow the next generation, not only into great dancers, but into great and kind people. She looks forward to seeing the students in class!
Glenne
(Ballet)
Glenne is originally from Overland Park, Kansas, where she began dancing at the age of three. Glenne spent her summers studying at Kansas City Ballet, Oklahoma City Ballet,
American Ballet Theater, and The Joffrey Ballet - West. Glenne recently graduated from the
University of Oklahoma with a BA in Letters and Classical Studies, a BFA in Modern Dance
Performance, as well as a Minor in Spanish, and will be attending The University of Missouri
Kansas City as a law student starting in the Fall of 2024. In her time at OU, Glenne had the opportunity to show her own choreographic work and perform works by Gus Solomons Jr, Thang Dao, Ulysses Dove, and Kate Wear. Glenne has be able to teach around the Oklahoma City area and has a true passion for passing down lessons of dance and teaching the future of the
dance world.
Shelli
(Tumbling)
Shelli began her first ballet class at age four and continued to dance well into her teen years. She eventually discovered her love of gymnastics, and her background in ballet helped her excel as a competitive gymnast. She eventually transitioned into coaching and enjoyed teaching gymnastics for many years. Shelli attended the University of Kansas and then went on to study at Johnson County Community College for Dental Hygiene. Recently, she completed her 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training Certification. In her spare time, she enjoys yoga, ballet, exercise of all kinds, working in her yard, and learning to play golf. What she enjoys most is spending time with her amazing husband, two wonderful daughters, and one very sweet Great Dane.
